Plastic Materials Assembly

One of the main sectors for the use of hot melt adhesives has always been the processing and assembly of plastic materials. Collagraf constantly dedicates time and resources to researching formulations that are increasingly efficient for bonding different types of plastic.

In various industrial sectors, different types of plastics (ABS, PET, PES, PPL, PVC) are used, each with its own specific chemical-physical characteristics. To this end, Collagraf has developed different types of hot melt products over the years, specifically for bonding different types of plastic surfaces.

Alongside EVA-based products, hot melt adhesives based on acrylic (EBA) have been formulated, which have shown to have holding and adhesion characteristics that perfectly adapt to plastics.

In the packaging sector, for bonding paper and plastic-coated cardboard, in addition to acrylic-based adhesives, polyolefinic (PO) hot melt adhesives are increasingly used, particularly suitable for bonding plastic-coated supports in polypropylene and polyester, as well as for bonding painted and/or lacquered surfaces
